(I guess the length might have something to do with that…)

Oathbringer, as of this writing, is still the #1 most read book on Amazon’s “what are people reading” chart. I knew you all were excited for Oathbringer-but I didn’t understand just how excited you were. It's like a mashup between Top Gun and Ender's Game and How to Train Your Dragon with an old broken-down spaceship with a really weird personality.Hey! I’m back from tour, and let me say, it was quite the experience. Brandon Sanders concept for the series was "How to Train Your Dragon but instead it's a girl who finds a spaceship and goes to Top Gun school.I'm not sure how I will canonize it in the books, but that's what I intend it to be." Spensa's ship (M-Bot) is obsessed with mushrooms when Sanderson was asked if the M in M-Bot stood for Mushrooms, he replied saying "Yes.There names are Sunreach( FM), ReDawn( Alanik), and Evershore(Jorgen). Each novella will be from a different character's point of view. They will initially be released through ebook and audio, however in 2022 Sanderson plans on also releasing them on paperback. There are planned to be 3 Novellas that will happen in the same timeframe as Cytonic being co-written with Janci Patterson. Spensa enters the Nowhere to find more about herself and her Cytonic abilities, leaving behind everything and everyone she ever knew. Spensa is a well respected pilot, but after learning the truth about her father's downfall she goes to extreme measures to find out more about the aliens that has been terrorizing her planet for years. Starsight is the second book of the series. One day, while exploring a cave, Spensa stumbles upon the sentient AI ship named M-Bot. It revolves around Spensa Nightshade (Callsign: Spin) who dreams of becoming a pilot and contributing to a war against an alien race called the Krell. Skyward is the first book of the series by the same name. See Defending Elysium (2008) for more details Skyward 4 possibly to be named Defiant (~2023, unreleased)ĭefending Elysium was the short story that formed the idea for the Skyward Series.
